The village is laid out on a valley floor and is consequently quite flat surfaced. It is very popular with families with smaller children as the chalet-style restaurants are delicious but unpretentious. It is on the smaller side for Les Portes du Soleil, but offers fantastic ski pistes, as the lift pass is combined with Morzine’s and provides access to both. If skiing isn’t what draws you to Les Gets, it is most likely the snowshoeing, hiking or paragliding.
Despite the small size, Les Gets has some upmarket appeal, with beautiful hotels lining the streets and some premium restaurants offering some fantastic local, and international flavours. The residents are proud of their village and it is felt throughout their offerings. The Territoire du Grand Cry, a cross-country ski village filled with teepees, and is a fine example of local pride and fun for the whole family.
